Shawna Olson Smith

Shawna joined the FamilyCare of Kent practice in July of 2022. She currently shares her time between patient care and as the clinic director. Shawna became an RN in 1989 and worked in a hospital-based surgical care and telephone triage. She became a nurse practitioner in 1999, graduating from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. She relocated from Iowa to Washington state in 2005. Her background includes internal medicine, pulmonary and sleep medicine, and oncology. She has dual certification in family medicine and oncology. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and six children. She can often be found watching baseball, football, or wrestling. She enjoys crafting, baking, listening to music, and spending time with her dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and bees.
